Annotation. One more approach is described to transform an image in terms of wavelet basis based on decimation of image samples in a checker board manner. The worksheet contains all tools to show this decimation scenario working. The reader is assumed to be acquainted with the basic ideas of the 1-D orthogonal wavelet analysis and synthesis in terms of filter banks.
