Annotation. A descriptive treatment is given of how to design filter banks leading to orthogonal wavelets family. The worksheet contains tools for computing wavelet filters with desired number of coefficients, deriving appropriate basic functions and decomposition in terms of wavelet basis. It is assumed that the reader has become acquainted with the basic ideas of the wavelet analysis and synthesis in terms of filter banks.
